HWA Colorado Presents An Evening with Author Steve Rasnic Tem was a great success, with a large turn-out of fans and fellow writers, Mr. Tem sharing insights from a legendary career than has spanned three decades. The event was held at the Broadway Book Mall, and thanks is given to Ron and Nina for providing a wonderful setting. Mr. Tem read several provocative selections from his new novel Blood Kin, and signed books at the conclusion of the evening. The Book Mall has both American and overseas editions, offering a number of rare and limited editions.
Potboiler Evening is held the fourth Tuesday of each month, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Columbine Library: 7706 W. Bowles Avenue (by Clement Lake). Open to all. The event is dedicated toward creative a new story each month as part of a collective. In August, there will be a Potboiler Weekend, where participants will gather to write a novel, in seventy-two hours.

The Mile High Chapter of the Horror Writer’s Association is a group of friends dedicated to all aspects of horror fiction and film. Membership is free and open to all. The Chapter is geared toward the professional writer-emeritus, emerging talent, and new voices. 2014 events will include evening speaking events with the most exciting talents in Colorado, one-day tables at local conventions, a monthly Potboiler evening, and group book signings.
