Josh Schlossberg is a Denver, Colorado-based horror writer specializing in “microbial horror” (don’t ask). Josh was born in the Hudson River Valley and lived in the Green Mountains and the Cascades before moving to the Rockies in 2013. He received his B.A. from Marlboro College (one of the smallest colleges in the country) and got a Graduate Certification in Nonprofit Management from University of Oregon.
As a teenager, he became obsessed with H.P. Lovecraft and Ray Bradbury’s darker tales, and currently can’t stop reading independent horror fiction. His short stories have been published or are forthcoming in Bards and Sages Quarterly, Campfire Tales (Deadman’s Tome), Disturbed Digest (Alban Lake Publishing), and Demons, Devils, and Denizens of Hell 2 (Hellbound Books).
He oversees the horror fiction blog Josh’s Worst Nightmare (joshsworstnightmare.com), is shopping around his first novel, and is working on a second, comedic horror novel. His “real job” is a freelance, investigative journalist with pieces in 303 Magazine, Westword, Boulder Weekly, and elsewhere.
He hosts a monthly horror critique group, Denver Horror Writers, which you can join on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/groups/350613005371750/) or through Meetup (https://www.meetup.com/Denver-Horror-Writers/) or by emailing him at JoshSchlossberg@gmail.com
